It's amazing how GPS in mobile phones has greatly improved and continues to advance. With this modern technology we have no reason to get lost. We can even plan our route, and some far advanced devices can give us information such as the flow of traffic and/or petrol, banks, & store locations.
Such tool, and other technological inventions, exist because tech achitechs painstakingly believed it can be done. Yes, anything you can think of nowadays seems possible, mostly in terms of tech doodads.
Thinking all things are possible is agreeable, but believing it.. is notewothy. It's the kind of faith God is expecting from us. In Mark 11:23, Jesus talks about this (you can find the verse quoted in the devotional I attached below). May our sweet and mighty Savior strengthen you everyday. With God all things are possible :)
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27)

Today's Devotion
February 12
Moving Mountains
I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him (Mark 11:23).
Scripture: Mark 11:20-25
Song: "Faith Grasps the Blessing"
I once saw a bumper sticker that said, "I'm not lost; I'm exploring." I had to laugh, because I related so well. Call it what you will, the truth is that I get lost very easily. Thankfully, I live within view of the Rocky Mountains. Just knowing they loom to the west is often enough for me to get my sense of direction squared away.
Some days, however, when a storm moves in, I can't see the mountains. The view in any direction looks the same. I'm without my compass.
When Jesus taught His disciples about prayer, He told them they could move mountains. Frankly, those words frighten me. I need my mountains. How else will I know where I am?
The answer, of course, is that I will be right where God wants me to be. I will be more dependent on Him, more trusting of His guidance, more reliant on Him for the next step. I wonder sometimes why we fail to pray for the mountains in our lives to move. Is it because they give us a sense of security, and we're afraid to let go?
Lord, You know the mountains looming in my life right now. Help me look only to You for guidance as I climb. In Jesus' name, amen.

Faith that assures.. |
One of my favorite chapter in the scripture is Ps.23, as it talks about..
Contentment
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Comfort
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
Restoration
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Conquering Fears and Reassurance
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Strength and Victory
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Provision and Promise
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
So whenever I feel like I couldn't hear from Him.. I try not to get disheartened. Instead, I read through my favorite verses like these from Psalms. I learned that stillness and reading through His words allows me to hear His voice.
..God talks to us through the scriptures :)

The Valley Song
Artist: Jars of Clay
...
Chorus
I will sing of Your mercy
That leads me through valleys of sorrow
To rivers of joy
When death like a gypsy
Comes to steal what I love
I will still look to the heavens
I will still seek your face
But I fear you aren't listening
Because there are no words
Just the stillness and the hunger
For a faith that assures
I will sing of Your mercy
That leads me through valleys of sorrow
To rivers of joy
Alleluia, alleluia
Alleluia, alleluia
While we wait for rescue
With our eyes tightly shut
Face to the ground using our hands
To cover the fatal cut
Though the pain is an ocean
Tossing us around, around, around
You have calmed greater waters
Higher mountains have come down

Poetry and Music: Like a Child |
Do you ever wish you could travel back in time and be a child again? Well, I sometimes do.
Children are amazing, they are energetic, creative, happy, honest, optimistic, enthusiastic, and they have no worries! Isn't that great?
I wish I could be a child again
So I can play in the rain
Do a lot of fun stuff without looking insane
Be simply amazed at everything, like seeing an airplane
I wish to have the kind of faith a child has
With hopeful anticipation on anything he/she ask
A child prays until something happens
Earnestly believing to our Father in heaven
Anyway, allow me to close this with a prayerful song from my favorite pop christian band. Thanks for reading and enjoy the music!
Like A Child
Jars of Clay
Dear God, surround me as I speak,
the bridges that I walk across are weak
Frustrations fill the void that I can't solely bear
Dear God, don't let me fall apart,
you've held me close to you
I have turned away and searched for answers I can't understand
They say that I can move the mountains
And send them [falling / crashing] into the sea
They say that I can walk on water
If I would follow and believe
with faith like a child
Sometimes, when I feel miles away
and my eyes can't see your face
I wonder if I've grown to lose the recklessness
I walked in light of you
[Little girl:]
"I've got joy like a fountain!"
"Be kind one to others"
"In Jesus Christ Your son"
They say that love can heal the broken
They say that hope can make you see
They say that faith can find a Savior
If you would follow and believe
with faith like a child
