While cleaning my room earlier, I was listening to my OPM tracks and this song from Gary V made me pause to relish the moment. It was timely as I was letting go of old stuff (putting 'em in boxes) leaving only what I need.
Yes, sometimes it's difficult to let go of things, but if we just try to assess and see if it'll benefit us more if we let go, it'll be easier for us to.. just let go.
But this song doesn't just talk about letting go of material things.
It's more than just letting go.. it's about emptying ourselves and opening up to Him to be filled.
It is my prayer that you'll be richly filled as you begin to embrace what He has to offer.
God bless you. Have a great week ahead. c",)
Letting Go
Artist: Gary Valenciano
I used to feel the emptiness inside me
I was not supposed to feel that way
I had everything I needed
But nothing ever made me
What I longed to be
The wealth, the name
The lights, the fame
Were everything to me
And then one night
Out of the blue
I heard His name (Jesus)
And so I took that step of faith
And walked into His domain
I believe that's what He wants
Every heart to do
When hard may seem the task
One step is all He asks of you
Letting go to know the truth
Is not so hard to do
It's the heart that's got the will
To open up for Him to fill
And trusting and believing Him
Is all we've got to do
It's just the heart that's got to move
For Him to show His love that's been there
Even when we never cared
Take hold of His hand
Let go and you'll understand
Why be afraid
For God knows what you're feeling
But even He can't do a thing
If He sees the heart's not willing
And so we ask what's going on
We want what's right and still do wrong
When hard may seem the task
One step is all He asks of you
I guess by now you'd realize
You can't be on your own
And all your cares
And all your burdens
Should be cast upon His throne
Letting go, just let go, letting go
Let go and you'll understand
Just let go and you'll understand

Love Song for a Savior
Artist: Jars of Clay
In open fields of wild flowers,
she breathes the air and flies away
She thanks her Jesus for the daises and the roses
in no simple language
Someday she'll understand the meaning of it all
He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on her lips
Someday she'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call her and she will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and she'll pray,
"I want to fall in love with You"
Sitting silent wearing Sunday best
The sermon echoes through the walls
A great salvation through it calls to the people
who stare into nowhere, and can't feel the chains on their souls
He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on our lips
Someday we'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call us and we will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and we'll pray,
"I want to fall in love with You"
It seems too easy to call you "Savior",
Not close enough to call you "God"
So as I sit and think of words I can mention
to show my devotion
"I want to fall in love with You"
"my heart beats for You"

Poetry and Music: Like a Child |
Do you ever wish you could travel back in time and be a child again? Well, I sometimes do.
Children are amazing, they are energetic, creative, happy, honest, optimistic, enthusiastic, and they have no worries! Isn't that great?
I wish I could be a child again
So I can play in the rain
Do a lot of fun stuff without looking insane
Be simply amazed at everything, like seeing an airplane
I wish to have the kind of faith a child has
With hopeful anticipation on anything he/she ask
A child prays until something happens
Earnestly believing to our Father in heaven
Anyway, allow me to close this with a prayerful song from my favorite pop christian band. Thanks for reading and enjoy the music!
Like A Child
Jars of Clay
Dear God, surround me as I speak,
the bridges that I walk across are weak
Frustrations fill the void that I can't solely bear
Dear God, don't let me fall apart,
you've held me close to you
I have turned away and searched for answers I can't understand
They say that I can move the mountains
And send them [falling / crashing] into the sea
They say that I can walk on water
If I would follow and believe
with faith like a child
Sometimes, when I feel miles away
and my eyes can't see your face
I wonder if I've grown to lose the recklessness
I walked in light of you
[Little girl:]
"I've got joy like a fountain!"
"Be kind one to others"
"In Jesus Christ Your son"
They say that love can heal the broken
They say that hope can make you see
They say that faith can find a Savior
If you would follow and believe
with faith like a child

Poetry and Music: Frail |
I remember when I blogged about the kind of news that we hear or see each day. In as much as I don't want to read or get a glimpse of the tragic news, information will simply present itself to me. I must say, there are things in this world that though we can control yet still seem inevitable or they're probably just too exhausting. And there are also things beyond our control, like the recent quake that hit L'Aquila Italy. Sometimes such unfortunate event makes our heart become fragile. No matter what gender or status you have, when calamity strikes, anyone could be a victim. There's only one source of help everyone can immediately cling on to, as described in Isaiah 54:10.
I'll end this short article with this wonderful song from my favorite band.
...Exposed beyond the shadows
You take the cup from me
Your dirt removes my blindness
Your pain becomes my peace.

Okay, I said I won't be putting any video links. Maybe.
Well, I don't wanna restrict my blog especially if I like the clip. So, perhaps I'll just be linking to the sites I think will be around the net for a longer period. Like this one from a lovely artist who gained popularity through youtube. She's got the look and the talent, so I would definitely agree she deserve to get noticed.
Here's one of her original composition that I like.

Angels Brought Me Here
[Verse 1]
It's been a long and winding journey, but i'm finally here tonight
Picking up the pieces, walking back into the light
Into the sunset of your glory, where my heart and future lies
There's nothing like that feeling, when i look into your eyes...
[Bridge]
My dreams came true, when i found you
I found you, my miracle...
[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, that you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
[Verse 2]
Standing here before you, feels like i've been born again
Every breath is your love, every heartbeat speaks your name...
[Bridge 2]
My dreams came true, right here in front of you
My miracle...
[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
[Bridge 3]
Brought me here to be with you,
I'll be forever grateful (oh forever Faithful)
My dreams came true
When I found you
My miracle...
[Chorus]
If you could see, what i see, you're the answer to my prayers
And if you could feel, the tenderness i feel
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...
Yes they brought me here...
If you could feel, the tenderness i feel...
You would know, it would be clear, that angels brought me here...

Life Blog: Simple day is a Beautiful day |
I feel sooo sleepy the whole day because of an early morning meeting. In which I need to inject three rounds of caffeine to stimulate my central system and pump in the blood thru my nerves down to my fingers to be able to hit those letters on my keyboard. Whew! I need to stop drinking coffee and I’ve said this to myself several times.
Anyway, though sleepy, I managed to work on my task list for the day. Nothin so special today, however I’m trying to consider each day a 'Beautiful Day'. Kinda like my way of convincin' myself to savor each day no matter how simple or complicated it might be.
In one of Bono’s hit single from the album All That You Can Leave Behind, he was somehow talkin’ about enjoying what you currently have then breathe out sayin' “oh, what a wonderful day!”
In an interview, Bono explained, "Beautiful Day" is about "a man who has lost everything, but finds joy in what he still has"
The last part of the lyrics says..
What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day
Here’s a a clip of this song in one of their concert performances:

Entertainment: Here Without You |
Nicely done. Anyhow, just missin' my best friend.
A hundred days had made me older
since the last time that I've saw your pretty face
A thousand lights had made me colder and I don’t think I can look at this the same
But all the miles had separate
They disappear now when I’m dreaming of your face
I’m here without you baby
but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight it’s only you and me
The miles just keep rollin
as the people either way to say hello
I've heard this life is overrated
but I hope that it gets better as we go
I’m here without you baby
but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl it’s only you and me
Everything I know,
and anywhere I go
it gets hard but it won’t take away my love
And when the last one falls,
when it’s all said and done
it get hard but it won’t take away my love
I’m here without you baby
but your still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
and I dream about you all the time
I’m here without you baby
but your still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl it’s only you and me

The master rapper taking it slow in this cool music. Sing along and enjoy! =)
So many faces, so many races
Different voices, different choices
Some are mad, while others laugh
Some live alone with no better half
Others grieve while others curse
And others mourn behind a big black hearse
Some are pure and some half-bred
Some are sober and some are wasted
Some are rich because of fate and
Some are poor with no food on their plate
Some stand out while others blend
Some are fat and stout while some are thin
Some are friends and some are foes
Some have some while some have most
Every color and every hue
Is represented by me and you
Take a slide in the slope
Take a look in the kaleidoscope
Spinnin' round, make it twirl
In this kaleidoscope world
Some are great and some are few
Others lie while some tell the truth
Some say poems and some do sing
Others sing through their guitar strings
Some know it all while some act dumb
Let the bassline strum to the bang of the drum
Some can swim while some will sink
And some will find their minds and think
Others walk while others run
You can't talk peace and have a gun
Some are hurt and start to cry
Don't ask me how don't ask me why
Some are friends and some are foes
Some have some while some have most
Every color and every hue
Is represented by me and you
Take a slide in the slope
Take a look in the kaleidoscope
Spinnin' round, make it twirl
In this kaleidoscope world

Tech Blog: MP3 Mania |
“No Music. No Life.” was Tower Records’ catch phrase. I was pleased when I first saw this. I think life without music is dull. Music is the best companion when traveling, reading, while working, doing your chores, in almost everything we do (except of course when sleeping, hehe, though I know some who listen to soothing music to help get a good sleep). Music may either set our moods or ride our moods. Observe how others get easily exasperated after listening to heavy metal sounds. And notice why spa houses plays classical or nature-like sounds.
Different people have different preferences in terms of the music genre they tune in to. My ears accept almost all types of music but heavy metal (although there was a time that I got hooked in this kind of music, which I now consider noise as I was unable to concentrate when I hear them, hehe). I used to collect audio CDs since I started working. When I acquired my MD player (my first smallest music player - Y2003), I began ripping all my favorite songs into it to avoid carrying all those CDs with me. Songs are converted to ATRAC3 files (Sony’s proprietary file type for compressed digital music). Though MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3) was already famous back then, I still preferred to rip audio CDs than download music online -- after my computer got infected by virus! grrr :)
I think MP3s started to evolve dramatically when Apple introduced the IPOD player (which is now by far the most favored music player – kudos to Apple!). They even went past Creative’s line of MP3 players. As manufacturers relentlessly compete to gain the “best MP3 player” title, many individual (music-lover alike) are having wide range of players to choose from. You’ll get a hard time deciding on which to buy if you have budget constraint. And if you’re after the features, you’ll somehow get confused on which would be the ‘good buy’.
In today’s generation, music players are now termed ‘MP3 Players’. There are even pens, eyeglasses, watches, digicams, and mobile phones that are solely designed for mp3 aficionados.
